A high-stakes engineering reality competition set inside a decommissioned airport. Twelve strangers form rival teams, scavenging the runway and hangars for parts to build flying machines. Each week the contraptions are tested for distance, design and daring. Concrete Wings combines the visceral spectacle of physical build shows with the emotional pull of strangers-thrown-together reality — a format engineered to travel, with a precinct that becomes the second star of the show.
